I have just finished a really good book, it is always a bit sad when that happens. Anyone have any recommendations for a good new one?

new camera

Tuesday, 20 October 2009

I have got myself a new (old) camera. Well, I have had it for a while but I didn't think it worked until I took it to Roger who worked his magic on it, soldered some bits or something and now it take real photos not just black squares! This is my lunch corner, it is hidden away in a corner of the studio under the coats and between the fridge and the camera cupboard. I like it here.

Snowbaording!

Booked our holiday, cannot wait!

114 miles week 9

Thursday, 15 October 2009

Week 9 of mine and Ian's project. Each week we email a photo to each other and display it as a dyptryct. Ian Land is on the right and I am on the left.

We are removating our house (very slowly)! The last people who owned it painted the inside of the shelf unit (which is no longer there) pink, the shelves blue and the floor was red! It really matched the yellow woodchip wallpaper kitchen, purple lounge and green bathroom! They certainly weren't afraid of the pastel shades!

My Book

Wednesday, 7 October 2009

In case anyone has forgotten or just wants a treat, you can still purchase copies of my book here or leave a comment below and i'll get back to you

Professor Richard Lambert

Richard is a lovely professor at work who said to me that he never takes a nice picture, I didn't believe him so decided to prove him wrong. He was wrong! Also I loved the golf set he had in his office and couldn't resist a shot of that!

114 miles week 8

This is week 8 in mine and Ian Land's collaborative project. Each week we take a photo and send it to each other to display as a diptych to see what happens!

Interview!!!!!

Monday, 5 October 2009

The wonderful and fabulous Blanket Mag has just been published and it includes my VERY FIRST INTERVIEW! This is the most exciting news I have had for ages, I have known about it for a while but I didn't want to say anything just in case it didn't happen! I am so pleased. The whole magazine is a Black and White issue and it looks really good. You can purchase a copy (only $2) here:

The photos that were selected for the issue were from my Butchers Shop Project, here are some more images from the project:

There was also an interview with my favourite illustrator, Nigel Peake. I love his work and have a few of his zines so I am in very good company in this magazine!

Your Space Cambridge Apartments

Thursday, 1 October 2009

Here are some more photos from the architectural photography shoot for Your Space Cambridge Apartments, some of the photos have ended up in Explorer Magazine in an advert (see post below). This was a really good job that I could really get my teeth into - 9 apartments (inside and out!)

Explorer Magazine, Your Space Cambridge Apartments

Some of my photos were used in an advert for Your Space Cambridge Apartments in this months Explorer Magazine (page 73 for anyone in Cambridge that wants to have a look). The photo below is one the photos that was included, it happens to be on of my favourites from the shoot. I took photos in 8 different apartments inside and out! They were all beautiful and I wanted to live in most of them!
